Church funds stolen

Traffic Stop leads to drugs, counterfeit money, stolen checks and burglary tools.

On May 4, 2016 deputies stopped a car for violations of the vehicle code in the area of Hwy 101 and Hwy 156 in Prunedale. During the contact deputies located ten stolen checks, $400.00 in counterfeit US money and burglary tools. Search Warrant leads to Gang Member with a gun

On April 27,2016, the Sheriff’s Office served a narcotics and firearm search warrant at a house in Greenfield. During the service of the warrant Patricia RODRIGUEZ was found to be armed with a loaded, 9mm handgun. On April 26, 2016, the Sheriff’s Office, the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office, Monterey County Health Department and Monterey County Building’s Department served a warrant on an isolated property in “Copperhead Canyon”, off Bryson Hesperia Road, in rural southern Monterey County, CA. On Wednesday March 22, 2016 at approximately 11:00 am the Sheriff's Office received a report of a possible sexual assault to a 14-year old victim. Officer Attacked While Taking a Suspect Into Custody
