Church funds stolen

On June 7, Sheriff’s Deputies received a report that an unknown suspect had entered into an office at the Cypress Church sometime between 6/5/16 at 1100 hrs, and 6/6/16 at 0900 hrs, opened a safe, and stole a bag containing an undisclosed amount of checks and a large amount of cash. Drowning Soledad Area

On May 14th Emmanuel de Leon and his cousin Javier de Leon were horseback riding in the Soledad area.  Emmanuel rode his horse into a private reservoir, possibly for training purposes and was thrown from his horse into the reservoir.  Emmanuel was unable to swim out of the reservoir and Javier went into the reservoir in an attempt to help him.  Unfortunately, both men drowned. Traffic Stop leads to drugs, counterfeit money, stolen checks and burglary tools.

On May 4, 2016 deputies stopped a car for violations of the vehicle code in the area of Hwy 101 and Hwy 156 in Prunedale. During the contact deputies located ten stolen checks, $400.00 in counterfeit US money and burglary tools. Search Warrant leads to Gang Member with a gun

On April 27,2016, the Sheriff’s Office served a narcotics and firearm search warrant at a house in Greenfield. During the service of the warrant Patricia RODRIGUEZ was found to be armed with a loaded, 9mm handgun.
