Escapee Sebastian Sanchez Update
Synopsis: At approximately 2052 hours on Friday May 20, 2005, Inmate Sebastian Sanchez was inadvertently released from the Monterey County Jail. Apparently, Sanchez assumed the identity of another inmate who was scheduled to be released.

On July 11, 2005 at 1000 hours, Salinas Police Department brought in an arrestee identified as Miguel Esquivel Rodriguez, for loitering near McKinnon Park in Salinas.
A Deputy at the Main Jail working the intake area immediately recognized the arrestee to be Sebastian Sanchez the inmate who had escaped on May 20, 2005 by using another inmates identity. Inmate Sanchez is pending escape charges as well as drug charges.
