Michael Moore

Undersheriff Michael Moore started his law enforcement career with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in 1991 after graduating from the 105th Session of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Training Academy.   While assigned to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Moore worked assignments in corrections, patrol, narcotics, training, and internal affairs. His last assignment was as the contract city chief of police for the City of Highland, California.

He has an AS in Administration of Justice, BA in History/Social Sciences, and an MA in Business and Organizational Security Management.  He is a graduate of the POST Executive Management Course and Session 56 of PERF’s Senior Management Institute for Police.

As the Undersheriff, he directs the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff’s Office. He reviews the objectives and effectiveness of the three operational bureaus within the Sheriff’s Office. Prior to his appointment as Undersheriff, Moore held the position of Chief Deputy of the Corrections Operations Bureau.

Undersheriff Moore is a member of several professional law enforcement organizations including California Peace Officers Association, Police Executive Research Forum, International Association of Chiefs of Police, American Jail Association, and a life member of the California Narcotics Officers Association.
