Southern Monterey County Violence Suppression Collaboration

On September 15, 2015, members of the Southern Monterey County Violence Suppression Collaboration, (comprised of law enforcement officers from the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department, Monterey County District Attorney’s Office, California State Highway Patrol, California State Parole and police departments from Gonzales, Soledad, Greenfield and King City) served a state search warrant in Greenfield, CA. This search warrant was the culmination of a month long criminal investigation.

During the SW service, a marijuana garden was located in the back yard. A shed at the residence had been converted to a dangerous, operational, butane, “honey oil”, drug-conversion laboratory. Inside the residence, law enforcement agents located and seized approximately 1/2 lbs of crystal methamphetamine, 6 lbs of processed marijuana, a loaded, semi-automatic handgun, drug packaging and US currency.

The suspect is a documented northern criminal street gang member. The suspect was selling narcotics in furtherance of the criminal street gang. The suspect was arrested on drug, gun and criminal street gang violations. The subject admitted to selling dangerous drugs and profiting from the drug sales. The subject was transported to Monterey County Jail and booked.
